
NADMO MARKS INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION
The theme for this year's celebration is "The role of education in protecting and empowering youth for a disaster-free future." The symposium brought together renowned speakers from the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Police Service. The guest speaker was Ms. Abigail Agyeiwaa, Director of KAGAS FOUNDATION GHANA. The main objective of the symposium was to sensitize the younger generation on disaster risks and the collective responsibility to respond effectively during such events. The speakers emphasized the importance of understanding the social, economic and environmental aspects of disaster risk management.
