On Tuesday 10th June 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. John Evans Kumordzie represented the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, at the 2025 Zone Ten Education Fair held at Okuapemman SHS. The MCE delivered a keynote address applauding the dedication of teachers, students, parents, and partners in driving quality education. The Minister’s message emphasized the need for innovation, inclusion, and investment to build a resilient, future-ready education system.
Following the event, the MCE inspected a gully and a partially collapsed building in Akropong which poses a serious hazard to public safety. The MCE directed NADMO and the Works Department to act urgently and find lasting solutions.
