The Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem North, Barima Awuah Sarpong Asiedu Larbi last on Friday took advantage of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Workshop at Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) Mampong to donate a number of Computer Tablets to the school.

The idea was to augment the teaching and learning of ICT in Basic and Senior High Schools in the country.

Earlier on Thursday, the MCE donated similar items to Presbyterian Secondary Technical School (PSTS) at Lateh and Mt. Sinai Senior High in Akropong. PLC is a special workshop earmark on a particular day in a month in all Senior High Schools in Ghana to discuss teaching techniques among teachers in the classroom. Mr. Barima peppered the tutors at PRESEC to put in their maximum best in raising the academic standard in the school. He was of the view that the school has done very well during the past WASSCE but that was not enough and that the school should raise the bar a little high to chalk 70% in the fourth coming examination. He said teaching is an art so every teacher should be pragmatic and design his own means just to deliver. He gave plaudits to the headmistress and the staff for the vast transformation in the school so far.He stressed that for whom much is given much is expected so the tablets were meant for the ICT laboratory to help raise and facilitate the teaching and learning of ICT and its equivalents in the school.
